Last week in Cooking class, the children helped Ms. Kim cook cornbread muffins. They ate the first batch and saved the second one for their class' Thanksgiving feast!
We also have started to get some fall weather and the leaves are falling. I found a fun project on Pinterest that incorporates the season in more than one way. My children collected leaves around our yard. Then we colored some construction paper brown. I cut it out to look like a turkey. ( If you want to save this step, you can cut out brown construction paper.) Then had my son glue the eye, beak, gobbler and leaves(feathers) on the turkey. He did a pretty good job for being almost three, huh?

Another fun idea, but more work for mommy or daddy, is to make a turkey from tracing your little ones feet and hands. I made one for each of my boys.
First, you trace their feet in brown paper or have them color white.
Then, you trace their hands on three different color paper. I chose orange, red and yellow.
Next, you cut them all out. :) I helped my little guy get the hands in a good order and then showed him how he could add glue to the heel of the foot. We then pressed it down on the spread hands/feathers, added googly eyes, a beak, gobbler and feet.
I think it turned out pretty cute! And it is a fun way to remember how small their hands and feet were that year. You could add this to your table as part of your Fall display, hang up on the refrigerator or on your children's art wall.
