Grandbuddies' Day

Thursday, October 7th and Friday, October 8th
8:15 to 9:30 am ~ Parish Hall

Addresses are due by Friday, September 3
(Invitations will be mailed to Grandbuddies after Labor Day)

You may prepay at the school office for the Grandbuddies’ Breakfast or Grandbuddies may also pay at the door the day of the event. Prepayment deadline will be September 30th.

$7 per adult, $4 per child
Price includes a delicious hot breakfast, fruits and bagels!

Remember this day with a Professional Photo by Nicole Myhre!
Nicole Myhre will be offering her amazing photography services on both mornings of Grandbuddies’ Day. Proofs will be sent home with the child for review and pictures can be purchased if interested. What better way to remember this special day than with a professional photograph of your child(ren) and their Grandbuddy(ies)! Photos will be taken from 8:15 to 9:00 am.

Volunteers Needed
To make this event a success, we are in need of volunteers to help with tickets, serving food and cleaning up after the event. If you know you will be at school either morning, we would greatly appreciate your assistance! Please contact Mary Jayne Sokolow if you are interested, mjsok_99@yahoo.com.

In an effort to ensure there is enough seating for our Grandbuddies and children, we ask parents to please not attend the event unless you need to provide assistance to your Grandbuddy or are volunteering for the event.

COSTUME SALE / FUN-raiser

Is your playroom’s dress-up bin overflowing? Or maybe your little one is still squeezing themselves into a too-tight princess gown! If you can relate...or if your child has already begun making Halloween costume requests (demands!), then mark your calendar for the rapidly-approaching APA COSTUME SALE!

Advent families are invited to shop our selection of gently-used costumes and accessories on Thursday, September 16th and Friday, September 17th during school drop-off and pick-up times.

Costume donations will be accepted on Monday, September 13th and Tuesday, September 14th.  Be ready to find some good deals, as most costumes will be sold for $3, $5 or $10.

All proceeds will benefit Advent through APA events and projects like Farm Days, after-school play dates, and teacher recognition.  Please understand that unsold items will not be returned to donating families. Any leftover costumes will be used in Advent classrooms or donated to charity.

This FUN-raiser is new for the 2010 school year, however, we anticipate a great response with donations and costume purchases. It’s a chance to clean out the playroom AND contribute to the school at the same time!

We also need VOLUNTEERS to assist throughout the week. If you are available to help on Monday 9/13 or Tuesday 9/14 with costume drop off, OR on Thursday 9/16 or Friday 9/17 with the sale, please email Mandy Schnittker at mandy.dennis@embarqmail.com
